Christopher
Background:
Christopher is only four years old and the youngest of three children. He was diagnosed with Medullobastia, a malignant brain tumor in March of 2008. He was initially put on an aggressive regimen of chemotherapy and brain radiation. Since then he has received multiple treatment modalities including surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, autologous stem cell transplant, and monoclonal antibody.
Sadly, his disease continues to recur and progress.
We first learned of Christopher's plight in 2008 and offered our assistance at that time. Christopher's Dad valiantly declined the offer because he felt capable at the time to deal with the medical expenses and preferred any funding be given to others in greater need.
With Christopher taking a turn for the worse, his parents are having difficulty working and meeting their financial obligations. The Margaret Rose Kennedy Foundation has given Christopher a grant for medical expenses not covered by insurance. It is our sincere hope our grant will relieve some of his parent's financial concerns and allow them to focus their attention on Christopher and their other two boys.
We are aorry to report that Chris passed away just prior to the holidays. His family was appreciative of our concern and support.
